The Heritage of Timisoara project serves to document an gather information about the historic buildings from this western city in Romania. The city is known as being the one with the biggest historic architectural patrimony in the country, so knowing about the historical value of each building - from the architectural point of view, to construction data and time periods, to the tales of the folks who have and continue to live there - is one of the main focuses of this project.
Each year the project maps and creates events about and in one of the main five districts from the city, the first one being Fabric. I chose to illustrate two of my favourite buildings from this neighbourhood, and you can read more about the houses and the concept behind the illustrations on my blog.
